About the Barn Studio

Branscome Gård is a beautiful lake retreat with a private sauna and swimming location and a short walk from a small sandy beach on the property.

Relax and get away from the noise at our studio in a barn with tranquil cabin vibes. Feel free to borrow the canoe or hang in the large hammock with a view. Located in the countryside you can take hikes in the forest, and walk past bulls, sheep and horses in the neighbouring farms. If you like to fish, bring your gear the lake is very healthy.

The space itself

The guest studio itself is a part of the old farm’s barn which is opposite the main house where we live (my wife, daughter and I). The studio has simple amenities, and a simple kitchenette, a cozy sleeping area, dining and living area. There is also a small table and seating outside for you.

The wood fired sauna by the lake is a couple of minutes walk and you will be able to enjoy that swimming spot and sauna all to yourself. There is also a large hammock and a canoe which you are welcome to enjoy.

Also on the property a couple of minutes walk is a little sandy beach on the lake which is enjoyed by neighbours as well. Here there is a barbecue and a jetty too and a bench and table for anyone to use.

There are numerous lovely walks too either in the forests or to other nearby lakes. 

Please note that there is no public transportation access near the property.

Feel free to enjoy the sauna and private swimming area all to yourself. 🏊‍♀️

Otherwise there is the sandy beach which we allow other neighbours to use too.🏖️

In front of the studio is a small outside dining setup which is all for you. 🍽️

On the barn porch there is a dart board 🎯 which you are also very welcome to use.
